A Liquor Filled Chocolate

A Daedalean temptress,
Her pale caramel body
With the glaze of honey
And the feel of satin
Enshrined within
An ambrosial usquebaugh
An elixir in her hollow
That lulled every sorrow.

As the heat of desire
Seeped into her nucleus
She melted and blended
To create a calm vacuity
Transcending intense bliss.
She was possessed
By a ruthless ravenous soul
That led to her empyreal fall.

Longing

An amorous poetess, in her reverence, wished to create a sonnet
For a quixotic beloved, a wraith in a realm veiled by enthymeme
She poured out crimson love into the words and all that they meant
Twas a beautiful night as the powdery moonbeam brought a rhyme
To a rhapsody created on the glass panes by the Heavenly lament.
Her sonnet connoted the plight of her lonely heart, a dear desire
To bask in the fervor of  a rare rendezvous of soul mates in love
The quill dipped in ink fell down as she got lured into somnolence
A lone tear seeped out of her eye, it kissed the parchment in trance
The sonnet came to life, he appeared, the anatomy of romance
He gently wiped the kohl that had trailed down with the lone tear
And placed a tender, soul dissolving kiss on her satiny raven hair
She felt it, the vow of love and a smile brightened her pretty face
His heart ached with longing, twas the beginning of a fervid romance
Like him, in some other realm, she saw him writing a love sonnet
She smiled and watched him write his words with intense devotion
The conspiring Universe convulsed with the overwhelming emotion.
The maiden stepped into consciousness, ‘Twas him, he was here’
She thought, while the inebriated melancholic poet turned around,
‘Twas her, she was here’, he whispered, kissing the parchment of love.

Rising In Love

Forbidden to fall
An angel bleeds
As the fiendish wire
Suspends her in vacuity
Cutting into her wrists,
Her delicate flesh
As her succulent lips
Murmur a name.

Why shall I fall?
She whispers to the sky
For my heart is pure,
Untainted as yours
Embrace me not
Do not pity my soul
For when tis the time
I shall rise, not fall.

On A Valentine's Day

Whilst I live another moment, another year, without thee
The voice within asks, why shouldst I know thee
Thou, fragment of my soul, wouldn’t thee be like me?
I canst breathe without knowing thee, but shalt not live
Without feeling thy touch, without feeling thy heart.
How wouldst the embrace feel, how sweet thy lips be
How warm thy presence feel when thou art with me
How wouldst the rain seem, soaking our souls wet with glee
How fast my heart would beat when thy palm clasps mine
What strain shalt seep out of our hearts, when we unite
I wish to feel thee, thy soul, to see thy eyes filled with desire
To call me thy own, to possess me with thy passionate fire
I summon thee hither, if thou shalt follow the path, brightly lit
For my heart wishes to feel thee before death kisseth it.

You

You
Are the Autumn Rain.
A thought that seeps deep
Into my existence
And soothes away
Every ache, every pain

You
Are my Valentine
With no face, no name
Who is hidden
Behind destiny’s veil
Yet is mine, in every way

You
Are the magical strain
That possesses my dreams,
For you strew happiness
In the gloomy abysses
Of my Soul so restless.

You
Are the poet who loves
Every little joy of love
Every word that speaks of it
Every single fantasy of love
And embraces all of it.

You
Are someone, they say, doesn’t live
But I know, we’ll meet
Someday, sometime, in some realm
Till then the clock will stop
Tis my will and so shall it be.

At First Sight

A lunacy invoked by its intoxicating charm
The celestial crescent, luminous and warm
Kissed the souls chosen by Providence
As the flowing breeze sang with ebullience

She stepped out, lost in the sanctum of her dreams
Walked on the cobbled path, illumined by moonbeams
Eyes closed, sitting on the park bench, he smiled
Relishing the whispering leaves waltzing with the wind.

She swayed and twirled, hands in air with swan-like grace
From the depth of her heart cascaded a beauteous strain
Enticed out of the meditation, he gazed at  her moonlit face
Like an ethereal figurine, she moved slowly in a trance.

His gaze touched her euphoric soul, she froze and simpered
Her dewy eyes met his, she knew, her elusive twin-soul breathed
He found it in her presence, a profound question answered.
The Evening Star witnessed as the cryptic love was unsheathed.

I'm Falling In Love!

It’s a really bad thing when you discover a beautiful song late at night because you’ll surely sacrifice your sleep to keep listening to it. The song I’m talking about is ‘I’m falling in love’ by Bap Kennedy. I’m in love. Crazily in love with this sweet song. I can imagine two people in love swaying to this strain and if it rains as well, someone might just faint out of sheer bliss. Being in love has to feel the way I am feeling right now. Euphoric, dreamy, peaceful and content. Now, how can I not write down the lyrics!

I sang "Danny Boy"
Out of the window
I don't know the words
I was making them up
Stepping outside
Feel the sun shining
I can't deny
I'm falling in love
I told them your name
Said where you come from
See you again
That kind of stuff
Told them your name
But I never told them
I never said
I'm falling in love
Chorus
Falling in love
Falling in love
Feels like my heart
Has been struck by lightning
You're in my head
It's you I'm dreaming of
Better come clean
Have to tell someone
I have to tell someone
I'm falling in love
Falling in love
I'm falling in love
Falling in love
I'm falling in love
Falling in love
I'm falling in love
Falling in love
I'm falling in love
Falling in love
Falling in love
I'm falling in love

Not listening to Bap Kennedy sing this a heinous crime! He sounds like the dazed lover in love for the first time. A lover so stunned by its magic that he doesn't know what to say. It’s the umpteenth time I am listening to it yet it’s so refreshing. This is the compensatory happy ending of a gloomy day. It was gloomy because of the stress that had built up due to the delay in the entrance examination results. Anyway, it doesn’t bother me anymore. There are so many beautiful things to feel glad about! One of them is the idea of romance. A beautiful, dreamy romance.

Music and Memories

If eyes are the mirrors to the soul, music is the mirror to the heart. Music is my secret shifter. Whether it is agonising pain or numbing despair or heart breaking lonliness, music heals everything. It’s my second love (The first being Rain). My favorite playlist today( 6th February 2013) includes –

High Hopes by Pink Floyd
Something in the way by Nirvana
Black by Pearl Jam
Silent Lucidity by Queensryche
A Thousand Years by Sting
My Immortal by Evanescence
Boy and the Ghost by Tarja Turunen
A Distance There Is by Theatre of Tragedy
Iris by Goo Goo Dolls
Carnival of Rust by Poets of the Fall
Last Regret by Paradise Lost
Don’t look back in anger by Oasis
Boom, like that by Mark Knopfler
Le Onde by Ludovico Einaudi
 Suzanne by Leonard Cohen
Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron and Wine
If you want me by Marketa Irglova
Never Enough by Epica
When you say nothing at all by Allison Krauss
All I want is you by U2

And that’s just the tip of the ice berg. Some songs stay with us through out the life and some fade away. 20 years from now, when I’ll be reading my blog, this would be a blissful reminder. I would love to know what got left behind. 50 years from now (if I make it), I’ll listen to this playlist once again. I’m sure a lot of forgotten memories would come back. Just like, Vanessa Williams singing 'Save the best for last' reminds me of a heavy downpour 8 years back, Madonna singing 'Words' reminds me of a heavy downpour 9 years back, Bon Jovi singing 'Keep the Faith' reminds me of a heavy downpour 10 years back, James Hetfield singing 'Fuel' reminds me of a heavy downpour 11 years back, it was Westlife, Linkin Park the preceeding years. Heavy downpour? Well, music will only remind you of the associated memories that are precious to you. Memories that made you really happy or really sad. It’s different for different people. So, what’s your favorite music and what’s the story?

Without You

I’m nothing
Without the delicate piano notes
Without the beautiful poetry of love
Without the mesmerising raindrops
Nothing
Without hope, without the dreams
Without darkness and the tears
Without my heart piercing screams
Nothing
Without the fall and the rise
Without the tranquil moonlit night
Without fire, without ice
Nothing
Without the soft kiss of peace
Without the scalding embrace of agony
Without the mountains and the seas
Nothing
Without the touch, without the distance
Without the chaos , without the trance
Without  echoes, without silence
Nothing
Without the sword, without the hymns
Without destiny, without the free will
Without the truth, without the lies.
Nothing
Without the heart and the beats,
Without the soul and the songs,
Without the mind and the thoughts.
Nothing
Without the life courting death
Without youth fading into a fossil
Without resurrection, without faith
Nothing
Without vision, without serendipity
Without the form, without vacuum
Without insanity, without lucidity.
Nothing
Without a presence, your presence
I’m nothing
Without you, without me, without us.
